How do you deal with conflict in marriage?

Clarence Simmons explains in this video that the key to resolving issues in a marriage is to quickly get to the root cause of why the struggle exists. Communication is key. If you don’t deal with these issues in your home then you will continue to have problems. It's best to keep small problems, small problems before they become big problems.

We're looking at couples that struggle and to some degree it comes back down to that issue of communication at the same time. But we have to get to the root of why the struggle, what's the issue underlying it. And I think you have these continual struggles at times when you don't deal with issues. And our home would like to say, we like to keep small problems, small problems before they become big problems. And so getting at the root issue is always the key.

And sometimes we let things go unresolved, which all the, which it does is just only prolongs the struggle in one center trying to love another center, you know what I'm saying, Because we don't see things at times the same way. The other thing is this right here. Someone has to be practicing self-denial. Someone has to be practicing self-denial. It has to be marriage.

If I could say we have to have a marital compromise. You have to do it if you're going to have a good and healthy marriage and working those things out. And so getting down to the to the root issue what's the issue itself and let's address that before God in a God honoring way bringing the gospel into a focus on our marriage so that me as a husband will reflect in Christ and you as the bride will be reflected in church and we will bring glory to God.
